CUYAHOGA FALLS - Ronald J. Caporlett, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 4, 2024.
Born in Akron, he was a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls and a U.S. Army veteran. Ron was employed with Ford Motor Company in Walton Hills as a press operator for 34 years and was a member of St. Joseph Parish. Over the course of his life, Ron enjoyed trips to the beach, reading, and spending time with his family. His favorite pastime was eating home-cooked meals prepared by the love of his life, Della. Ron and Della were an excellent dance duo as members of the Northeast Ohio Jitterbug Connection, where they made many lifelong friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jules Caporlett and Judy Buckner; sister, Sandra Conley; brother, John Caporlett, and great-granddaughter, Ava Rose Walker. Ron is survived by his wife of 59 years, Della; daughter, Gina (Steve) Venables; son, Jeff (Rhonda) Caporlett; granddaughter, Amy (Daren Walker) Caporlett; great-grandson, Daren Walker, III; brother, Jerry Caporlett, and furry friend, Bailey.
The family would like to thank the staff of Western Reserve Hospital and the hospice team for their compassion and care of Ron.
Funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM, Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, 44224. Friends may call from 10:30 AM until time of service. Interment Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Peninsula.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made in Ron’s name to the charity of their choice.
