Funeral Mass of the Christian Burial on behalf of Mrs. Klaben

STOW - Rosaline Klaben (nee Savo), peacefully went home to be with the Lord on March 18, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Rosaline was born in Solvay, New York, on November 2, 1936, to Albert and Victoria (Pannetti) Savo. She maintained strong ties to her family and high school friends in Solvay her entire life.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Albert O. Klaben, Sr.

In addition to her brother, John Savo of Solvay, New York, she is survived by her three sons, Albert O., Jr. (Nikki) of Silver Lake, Ohio, Richard G. (Kate) of Silver Lake, Ohio, and Michael G., Sr. (Connie) of Warren, Ohio.

Rosaline and Albert, Sr. went on to spend their marriage building their family and business together, and she was an integral part of her family’s relocation to Northeast Ohio to form a new business that grew to become the Klaben Auto Stores.

Of her many accomplishments in life, her passion and devotion were to her faith, her family, and anyone in need. Rosaline built community and friendships around her faith and the Catholic church, beginning at St. Cecilia’s in Solvay, and decades later at St. Patrick’s in Jupiter, Florida, as a Eucharistic minister and “running the gift shop!”

She was selfless, a woman for others. She brought happiness, joy, and hope to all that crossed her path. Despite her being very shy and soft-spoken, she was an expert in making people feel comfortable, whether it was through a bowl of pastina or a glass of wine. She was slow to judge and quick to remind you to say a prayer to St. Anthony, or the relevant patron saint, or to say a decade of the rosary before bed.

Some may remember her as "Roe" or "Roz," but her favorite nickname was "Grandma Roey," to her thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and countless others.

Grandchildren: Christine Klaben (Ken Harris), Kimberly (Keith McFarlane), Joseph Klaben (GraceAnn), Kathleen Klaben (Dave Nulanz), Lori (Allan Matthes), Matthew Klaben, Michael A. Klaben (Bailee), Katherine “Kayla” Klaben (Tommy Fang), David Klaben (Heather Walton), Alison (Dillon Perrin), Michael G. Klaben, Jr., Albert O. Klaben, III, and Timothy Klaben.

Great-Grandchildren: Joseph C. Klaben, Charlie Klaben Nulanz, Bodhi Matthes, Addison Klaben, Otto Klaben Nulanz, and Piper Matthes.

The Klaben Family wants to share our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all the special individuals that loved and cared for Rosaline during her final years.
