Rosemary (Lasko) Gambaccini

December 16, 1935 — November 30, 2024

TALLMADGE - Rosemary (Lasko) Gambaccini, 88, entered eternal life on November 30, 2024.

Rosemary, a beloved longtime resident of Tallmadge, Ohio, was born on December 16, 1935, in Akron, Ohio, to Stephen and Magdalene Lasko. She retired from the University of Akron after 25 years of dedicated service in its Psychology Department. A devout Catholic, Rosemary was a 55-year member of Our Lady of Victory Parish in Tallmadge and later joined St. Mary Parish in Hudson.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dante Gambaccini; her brothers, Stephen (Sandy) Lasko, Jr., Paul, Peter, and Michael Lasko; and her sister, Charlotte (James) Origlio.

She is survived by her sister, Irene Krietz; her five children, daughters, Ann (Ken) Neal and Marjorie Piccirillo, and sons, James (DeAnna), John (Janice), and Mark (Rebecca) Gambaccini. Rosemary’s cherished grandchildren include Nick Neal, Alex, Anthony, and Victoria Piccirillo, Justin (Emily) Gambaccini, Jordana (Jordan) Hoover, Jessica, Joseph, Jack, and Juliet Gambaccini, Sarah Gambaccini, and Dominic and Ava Gambaccini. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Hazel and Miles Hoover, and Adrienne Gambaccini, along with many dear nieces and nephews.

Rosemary found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, hosting gatherings and celebrating holidays. She treasured attending her children’s and grandchildren’s events, always cheering them on. Rosemary loved traveling, whether it was camping in the family RV or taking bus trips across the country. A passionate gardener, she cultivated beautiful flowers and bountiful vegetables. Her talents extended to the kitchen, where she was an exceptional cook and baker, and to her creative pursuits as a skilled artist and master seamstress. She was passionate about supporting the less fortunate members of her community and as a member of the Holy Family Parish Sewing Group, she sewed hundreds of items for charity, bringing comfort and care to others.
