Sarah Margaret Kennedy Lusk Wilcox

Sarah Margaret Kennedy Lusk Wilcox, 96 years old, was born on September 3, 1925. Our sweet Sally passed quietly away on February 2, 2022, at the Heritage of Hudson, where she had lived for the past five years. Sally is predeceased by her first husband, Robert Lusk, and by her second husband, Benjamin S. Wilcox. She is survived by her children, Susan Locke of Gig Harbor, WA and Robert M. "Kim" Lusk (Laurie) of Portland OR; grandchildren, Jennifer and Christopher Locke and Rebecca and Sarah Lusk; nieces and nephews; and sister, Mary Jo Axelson, of Massachusetts. She will be greatly missed by her niece, caregiver, and friend, Judy Faris. A caregiver herself, she took care of her father, her husband, Ben, and her Aunt Margaret. In 1947, Sally married Bob Lusk and raised two children. Later in her life, she married Ben Wilcox, with whom she enjoyed hiking, canoeing, and camping. She had a wealth of knowledge. Known for her "gift of gab," Sally could engage you in conversation on just about any topic! An avid reader, she rarely found herself bored and also enjoyed knitting, needlecraft, and sketching. Sally was a member of The Community Church of Stow, where she sang in the choir. She was very proud to be a member of the Joshua Stow Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The family would like to express their great appreciation to the staff at the Heritage of Hudson for their loving care. Pastor Jim Case will conduct service Monday 6 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, where friends may call from 4 PM until service time. Private burial Silver Springs Cemetery.
