Scott A. Smith

STOW - Scott A. Smith, 63, passed away September 8, 2021.

Born in Hamilton, OH, he was a resident of Stow since 1968. Scott had been employed with Industrial System Erectors, jointly owned with his two brothers, Fred, and Craig. He was an Industrial Construction and Installation Specialist, working with his brothers for the past forty plus years.

Scott enjoyed his home and entertaining his family and friends, especially around the evening fires. He liked golfing and spent many hours gardening and tinkering around the house. He was an intellectual and loved having open conversations about anything. Because of his infectious enthusiasm for many things, he was a true joy to be around. We will miss him deeply and cherish our memories of him.

Preceded in death by wife, Christine; parents, C.L. and Helen Smith; sister, Cynthia Smith, he is survived by his son, Brian Smith; sisters, Lisa Smith, Lynne (Steve) Broadbent, Tammy (Joe) Defuria, Leslie (Warren) Hepburn; brothers, Fred, Craig (Kim) Smith, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Fr. Thomas McCann will conduct committal service 11 AM Saturday at Rose Hill Burial Park, 3653 W. Market Street, Akron, OH 44333. Celebration of Life to follow from 1 PM to 4 PM - please contact the family for location information.
