Stephen (Steve) Chinrock

STOW - Stephen (Steve) Chinrock, age 91, passed away December 14, 2023. Steve was born February 3, 1932, to Andrew and Anna (Toth) Chinrock. Steve graduated from South High School. He entered the United States Army in 1953 and receiving an Honorable Discharge on May 20, 1961. Prior to joining the military, Steve worked at Akron Coffee & Grocery Company, and went on to employment at Roadway Express, Inc., as a computer operator. After his retirement from Roadway, Steve held various part-time jobs in the customer service industry. On July 7, 1956, Steve married Norma Jean Quattrocchi. They resided in Akron, Ohio, and shared 59 years of marriage. Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Norma; sister, Katherine Evans; brother, Paul Chinrock; granddaughter, Abigail Wasley Mercado, and son-in-law, Jerry Gran. He is survived by his daughters, Deb (Gary) Beckley, Cynthia (George) Wasley, and Karen (Sean) Hummel. In addition to his daughters, Steve is survived by his grandchildren, Jerry (Ashley) Gran, Jennifer (Brian) Wasley, Michelle (Travis) Fritz, Meghan Hummel, Erin Hummel, and Kayleigh Hummel, as well as his great-grandchildren, Isabella, Penelope, Cecily, Wren, and Eloise. Cremation has taken place. Steve will be laid next to his wife at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron, Ohio.
