STOW - Steven Frederick Meyerson was born on October 2, 1962. He was 60 years of age and passed away on June 30, 2023.
Steve was born in New Haven, Connecticut, to the late Muriel (Levine) Meyerson and Sherman Meyerson, residing there until graduating from Southern Connecticut State College. Relocating to Cleveland, he worked behind the scenes as a camera operator for a major news affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio, for 23 years. Steve worked with the Cleveland Browns Football Team as the "Fan Cam" technician for 14 years and also taught at the Ohio Center for Broadcasting for several years.
Steve was an avid medieval renaissance war reenactor who loved nature and enjoyed camping with his friends. A gifted liqueur creator, Steve achieved Master of Liqueur, the highest honor for a brewer. He won many awards throughout his life for his liqueur creations. Steve was also a Dean in the fencing society, for which he won multiple awards.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Karen (Tench) Meyerson; his sons, Zackery and Jacob Meyerson; as well as his sisters, Jayne Meyerson Hillman (Barry Hillman) and Lynne Meyerson (Lu Bernstein).
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 4 to 7 PM, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, where the funeral service will be held Friday, July 7, 2023, at 11 AM. Graveside service will follow at Markillie Cemetery, 410 N. Main Street, Hudson 44236.
