Terry D. Osman

TALLMADGE - Terry D. Osman, 82, died March 12, 2023.

Born in Akron, he was raised in Stow where he graduated from Stow High School. After a lifetime in Stow, he moved to Tallmadge in 2004. Terry began his career as an optician after high school and went on to purchase Akron Optical, which would later become Osman Optical. During this time, he was also always a part of the family business, Osman’s Pies. He retired from Snodgrass Eye Care in 2020. He loved the Lord and was a member of Stow Alliance Fellowship.

Terry was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and archery. Terry spent many years as a counselor at Stony Glenn Camp with Christian Service Brigade. He enjoyed planning an annual fishing trip to the boundary waters in Canada.

Preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ethel Mae Osman; son, Daniel Osman, and ex-wife, Carrie Halloway, he is survived by son, Christopher (Tanya Cross) Osman; long-time partner and fiancé, Sue Lutz; sister, Cheryl (William) Crowe, two nieces and one nephew.

Rev. Jerry Witt will conduct service 11 AM, Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Stow Alliance, 4460 Stow Road, Stow 44224. Friends may call 4 PM to 7 PM, Tuesday, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224.
