BRUNSWICK - Thomas B. Biggins, 76, died October 13, 2023.
Born in Akron, he was a long-time area resident, had retired as a teacher from Holden Elementary School (Kent City School District) in 2008, and had served as a past president of Kent Education Association.
Tom loved traveling, cooking for family and friends, and his standing get-togethers with the guys at Ray’s Place in Kent. By far, his most favorite thing above all was being “Papa” to his four grandchildren. His sense of humor and giving nature will be remembered by many.
Preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillian Biggins, and by his brother-in-law, George Porosky, he is survived by his wife of 49 years, Glenna; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jody, and their children, Delaney and Will; son, Mark, his children, James and Evan, and their mother, Carrie; daughter, Diane Hutchison; sisters, Sherrie (Bill) Broadhurst, Barbara Porosky, and Diane (Perry) Rienzi, and brother, Bruce (Jean) Biggins.
