Viola Edwards

RAVENNA - Viola C. Edwards, 99, passed away on January 21, 2021. She was born in Sylvatus, VA on October 5, 1921 to the late Giles and Ella Mae (Blankenship) Chitwood. Viola was a member of First Christian Church of Stow, and previously the First Christian Church in Hillsville, VA. She was a member of the Meadowbrook Lake Garden Club and she loved antiques. Viola enjoyed watching movies and reading books. She and her late husband Wayne celebrated their 50th anniversary with a large party that was full of many memories. Viola was a farm girl, and that never left her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Wayne Dale Edwards, her son Kennie L. Edwards, son-in-law Richard Crowe, and nine siblings. Viola is survived by her daughter, Deborah Crowe; son, Dwayne Edwards; grandchildren, Don (Debi) Crowe, Marcia Crowe-Eberle, Chris Edwards, Chase Edwards, Justin (Phylicia) Edwards and Kennie D. Edwards; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kara, Richard, Matthew, Kristy, Ryan, Kayla, Wyatt, Charlie, Ethan, Nathan, Mya and Elliesha; daughter-in-law Joan Edwards Wagner, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, January 25th from 6 to 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 AM. Burial Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls.
