KENT - William (Bill) E. King, Jr., 72, passed away March 26, 2024.
Born in Wheeling, WV, he was a resident of Kent. Bill graduated from Stow High School in 1969 and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Kent State University. He was a machinist with Campbell Machine, Kent Machine, and went on to start his own company, BeKay Manufacturing, which later became Boyce Machine, retiring in 2015.
Bill was a member of the United Methodist Church in Stow. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, coin collecting, working on the church newsletter, and eating his Peanut M&M’s. Bill was the beloved Popi of Chi Chi, never met a stranger, and loved sparking conversations with others. Bill also cherished and was his grandkids' and great grandkids' biggest fan.
Preceded in death by his parents, William and Martha King, he is survived by his wife of 34 years, Diane King; children, Lisa (Bob) Conner and Liz (Mike) Cunningham; grandchildren, Johnathan (Beth), Shawn, Kayley, Katie (Hunter), and Laurel; five great-grandchildren, John David, Carter Reid, Adalyn, Weston, and Elory; cousins, Gay Lou (Rich) Gillchrist; in-laws, Patty (Fred) Hanson; niece, Annie, and nephew, Jimmy. He was also very loved by his Zeppe’s friends and family.
Pastor Michael Swab will conduct service 10 AM, Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224. Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM, Friday, March 29, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Leslie from Hospice of the Western Reserve and his special nurses, Andrea and Jasmine. Andrea was the angel that loved and supported him in his final hours.
