STOW - William E. Bissler, 76, died April 21, 2012.
Born in Kent, he was a lifetime area resident and member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Mr. Bissler retired from Ford Motor Company in 1994 and was a member of UAW Local 420. He proudly served his country in the Air Force and the Army National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary; daughter Karen (Mark) Linnen; son Michael (Michelle)Bissler; grandchildren Madison, McKenna, Hunter, Peyton, Hanna and Mikey, Jr.; sisters Edna (Donald) Williams, Juanita (Luis) Weygandt and Sue (Pat) Wallis and brothers John Bissler and Gary (Claudia) Bissler.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Tuesday 9:00 to 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial at Stow Cemetery with military honors provided by Charles Faust American Legion Post 281. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa, 525 East Market Street, P.O. Box 2090, Akron 44398-9976.
