STOW - William G. DiGiammarino, 87, died April 7, 2022. Born in Akron, he was a resident of Stow since 1966, and a U.S. Air Force veteran. William had been employed with the Summit County Engineer’s Office, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. William was an avid Ohio sports fan and enjoyed fishing. Preceded in death by parents, Clemente DiGiammarino and Helen Feathers; brothers, Joe and Frank DiGiammarino, and sister, Rose Pierce, he is survived by his wife, Dolores DiGiammarino; sons, William, II, (Teresa), Donald (Jeanette), Dan (Sundee), and Scott (Jennifer) DiGiammarino; daughter, Melissa (George) Tanner; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and sister, Dorothy Murdock. Requiem Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, April 13th, at 11 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 450 Dennison Avenue, Akron, 44312. Friends may call Tuesday, April 12th, from 4 to 6:30 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, 44224, where Rosary service will be held at 6:30 PM. Burial Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Peninsula with military honors provided by the American Legion Charles Faust Post #281 and the U.S. Air Force.
