William B. Lewis

CUYAHOGA FALLS - On Tuesday, June 14, 2022, William B. Lewis passed away peacefully at the age of 74.  William was born in Steubenville, Ohio on June 30, 1947, the youngest of three siblings.

After attending high school in the Northwestern School District, he went on to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education at The Ohio State University and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education Administration at Kent State University. He taught 30 years in the Hudson City School District, mostly fifth graders, touching many young lives, always encouraging and challenging each student.

After retirement, he enjoyed listening to music, reading the scriptures, model trains, and spending time with his granddaughters and family.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Elias and Helen Lewis. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Darla Lewis; son, Richard (Jan) Lewis; daughter, Stephanie (Steve) Young; grandchildren, Lily and Cate Young; sisters, Pam (Don) Drum, Pat (Ferrell) Swinehart, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Pastor Lon Snyder will conduct a Memorial Service on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM, a Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 PM, and a dinner to follow, all will be held at Riverwood Chapel, 1407 Fairchild Avenue, Kent, Ohio 44240 - 330-678-7000.
