STOW - William H. McCloud, Jr., 77, passed away bravely March 14, 2025.
Born on May 15, 1947, in Logan, WV, he moved to Ohio at the age of seven and was a resident of Stow since 1980. William was a graduate of Kent State University and had been employed as a motor design engineer. He was a critical thinker with an innovative mind, who held a patent for a motor he designed. Bill was an avid runner and completed four marathons. He was also a certified scuba diver and held a private pilot’s license.
Bill was a devoted husband and father. He was also dedicated to his local community, both as a youth sports coach and frequent blood donor. What he loved most was spending time with his family and entertaining his grandchildren with silly games and funny faces.
Preceded in death by parents, Margrete and William McCloud, Sr., he is survived by his wife, Anita McCloud; son, Ian (Kelsey) McCloud; daughter, Kathleen (Chad) Myers; six grandchildren; four sisters, Drenna Wene, Sherry McCloud, Nancy (Jeff) Clark, and Amy (Art) Venditti, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Pastor Dan Page will conduct service 11 AM, Monday, March 24, 2025, at Redmon Funeral Home 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call 1 - 4 PM, Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial Silver Springs Cemetery in Stow. Luncheon to follow at Leona Farris Lodge in Stow.
