Judith "Judy" Eklund

HUDSON - Judith Ann Eklund, 76, went home to be with her Lord on November 16, 2021.

Judy was born on December 8th in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She attended high school at North Park Academy in Chicago and went to Bethel College in St. Paul where she met her husband of 54 years, Peter Eklund. After college, she worked at Northern Illinois University, was a receptionist for NBC radio in Pittsburgh, and worked for Pat Boone in Nashville. Ohio was her home for the past 35 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and LeVerne Scholtens. She is survived by her husband, Peter, and children, Amy (David) Romig, Eric (Laura) Eklund, and Allison (James) Billings. She has eight grandchildren, Trey, Andrew, Lindsey, Jake, Zach, Brooke, Emerson, and Eden. She also has a sister, Barbara (Jerry) Johnson, and brothers, Dick (Kathy) and Jim Scholtens.

At an early age, God brought Judy into a relationship with His Son, Jesus. She enjoyed reading, Bible study, and spending time with her family and friends. The joy of her life was being a wife and mother.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 22, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow. A celebration of life will be held at Christ Community Chapel, 750 W. Streetsboro Street, Hudson, OH 44236 on Tuesday, November 23, at 11:00 AM. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the Tuesday service.
